Properly vetted UK tutors

Live one-to-one lessons, online. Before a tutor meets your child, we check their ID, their Enhanced DBS certificate and their qualifications, speak to two of their referees and interview them ourselves.

What we check, and when

Every tutor's profile carries the same record of checks. You can read it before you book, and it shows when each check is due again.

How it works

You meet the tutor, with your child, before you commit to anything.

  1. A parent at a laptop browsing tutor profiles, each with a photo

    Choose a tutor

Search by subject and level. Each profile shows the tutor's record of checks, the exam boards they teach and their hourly rate.

  2. A teenager and a parent smiling during a video call with a tutor on a laptop

Meet them on a free call

A short video call with you and your child about goals, the exam board and how often to meet. It costs nothing, and you decide afterwards.

  3. A laptop showing an online lesson with a shared whiteboard, beside a notebook of working

    Start regular lessons

Lessons run in our online classroom, with a shared whiteboard. After each one the tutor writes notes you can read, and every message stays on the platform.

What you can see

You can read every message between the tutor and your child. Lessons, notes and contact details stay on the platform.

Tutors agree not to contact students anywhere else, and lessons run in our own online classroom, never on a personal video account.

Lessons that fit around school

Your tutor works from the UK, but lessons happen when it suits your child here, usually after school. Tell us the times that work for you when you join the waitlist, and we'll look for tutors who are free then.

Questions parents ask

All questions and answers

How are tutors vetted? Five checks before a first lesson: identity, an Enhanced DBS check for working with children, qualifications verified at source, two professional references, and a live interview with our team. The record of these checks sits on every tutor profile.

How do you keep my child safe online? Lessons run in our own online classroom, not on personal video accounts. Every message between tutor and student is visible to the parent, and tutors agree not to contact students off the platform.

How much do lessons cost? Each tutor sets their own hourly rate, shown on their profile before you book.

When do you launch? We’ll let you know as soon as we launch. Join the waitlist to get early access.
